Workshop 1 & 2 Details

On October 23, 2025, ASU and Unlimited Potential hosted the Shade for ALL Neighborhood Workshop for the communities of the Town of Guadalupe and the City of Tempe. A second workshop followed on February 5, 2026, continuing the series and inviting community members to participate in creating neighborhood tree action plans, learning how to prioritize shade in their areas, exploring the benefits of urban trees, and gaining essential tree care knowledge.

Urban Nature, led by Arizona State University’s Rob and Melani Walton Sustainability Solutions Service — in partnership with community-based organizations, industry partners, national organizations, and several ASU departments — works to scale nature-based urban shade solutions, sustain a community trade school and enterprise hub, and advance place-based applied urban forestry research.
